Juniper Roofing Craftsmen was established in 1989 after Jim Juniper became disillusioned with the company that he was working for at the time.

Since then he has built up a successful small roofing business carrying out works ranging from repairs, renewals and new builds of all types of roofs in Eastbourne and the surrounding local areas.

In 17 years of business the company have successfully completed both large and small contracts, ranging from renewing an apartment block roof in the Marina to small repairs such as reinstating a tile on a domestic roof.

Our clients are many and range from government departments such as the NHS to the domestic client including grant work for local authorities.  We also carry out roofing works for local maintenance companies and many builders including surveyors and architect.  Like plumbing and electricial works, roofing is a specialist trade so we decided to become the master of one, not the jack of all.  We are often approached by builders when they find a problem which they have been unable to solve.

It was realised at a very early stage the importance of training and using skilled labour.  Two local young people to date have successful gained their NVQ2 in built –up felt roofing with a third about to start training in September for their NVQ2 in roof slating and tiling.  This ensures that we have a skilled work force which is also competent in all the issues of working at height. 

By training our own work force we have been able to ensure that all of our staff share the same company ethos in that, “It takes years to build up a good reputation but only one job to loose it”. Therefore our work force are direct employees of the company. 

We strive very hard to ensure that all works are completed with integrity and skill and that all who work for Juniper Roofing take pride in their work.

We are approved contractors of Marley, Soprema, Andersons, Callenders and Plygene.

We renewed the entire roof on this porch in Chesterfield Road including lead works. We are also able to do specialist roofs such as this copper veral roof in Forest Row.
